David joined the Allard Architecture team at the beginning of 2019 and has played a key role in many of its most recent designs. He has a keen interest for imagery and graphical representation, enjoying the development of sketches through to tangible designs, presentation renders and construction drawings.
Prior to joining AA, he worked for a number of years as an architect at Ben Adams Architects (BAA) in London and as an interior designer at Concrete here in Amsterdam. With BAA he gained a breadth of experience working at various scales, from large residential and mixed-use schemes to smaller office renovations and bespoke interiors. Through such projects he has been involved in all stages of architectural production, however a large majority of this work was at the construction stage, successfully delivering design proposals amongst complex site situations.
Through previous work he has developed a personal interest for smaller, more intricate designs and the complexities inherent to their construction. He therefore enjoys working at the scale of a building, down to the design of its interior and one day hopes to create his own furniture series.
David graduated his masters with disctiction from Edinburgh University in 2015 and has since completed his architectural training. He is now qualified in both the UK and the Netherlands.
