Conceived as a venue for events and activities, Area 6 combines an arena typology with an interactive exhibition space for testing and playing with the latest technologies on the market. A multi-functional program is distributed throughout the building with the use of ramps and slabs, shaping the building into an experiential plan.
At the immediate entrance, showrooms display the newest electronic products while the platforms house the TV studios, Hollodecks, theatres and retail spaces across three levels.
A three story atrium splits the Arena from the gaming platforms, while creating a multi-functional space that is flexible enough to interact with both sides of the building. The metal façade mutates depending on the event, weather conditions and time of day. The shell therefore gives a glimpse into what the interior and exterior conditions of the building are.
